In this study, copperassisted ammoniacal thiosulphate leaching of a copperrich gold ore was studied. A cyanide leaching test was also carried out for comparison. The experiments were designed using a Taguchi L9 (3 3) design for the evaluation of the effects of initial concentrations of thiosulphate, ammonia and copper on gold extraction.
